CCGET considers communication with local communities a structural component of its activities. The approach is explicitly two-way: initiatives are designed not only to inform, but also to gather the needs and expectations of local communities, fostering trust and social acceptance of the research infrastructure.
Communication activities include the development and updating of this website, the production of multilingual information materials on ongoing measurement campaigns, the making of a documentary video on ET activities, collaboration with local television productions, and public meetings with administrators and residents in the municipalities involved in geophysical surveys.
On the educational front, CCGET, in cooperation with ET Italia, the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari and the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (RAS), is designing modular educational programmes for schools at different levels in Sardinia, with laboratory activities including the use of seismic measurement instruments. The participation of students and young researchers in measurement campaigns is encouraged, with opportunities for internships and bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses on topics related to the geophysical characterisation of the ET site.
