From mid-May, for four weeks, a helicopter carrying an enormous 40-metre hexagonal antenna will fly at low altitude over the municipalities of Lula, Onanì, Bitti, Orune, Nule, Buddusò and Lodé.
This activity is part of the international Einstein Telescope project: a geophysical survey to study the geological structure of the subsurface down to a depth of 500 metres.
The StoryMap can be explored for further information on the survey method and the conduct of the flights.
On April 29th, at 11 a.m., a public meeting will be held at the Moreddu Hall in Lula to explain the project's purpose and implementation methods to the public. Speakers will include Mario Calia, Mayor of Lula; Raffaele Marras, ET Consultant for the Autonomous Region of Sardinia; Vincenzo Sapia, Scientific Director of the flyby; Domenico di Mauro, Communications Manager of the CCGET; and Antonio Funedda, Professor of Geology at the University of Cagliari.
