The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) has opened a call for applications for a fixed-term Technologist position, lasting 6 months, to work at the newly established INGV office in Nuoro, Sardinia.
The selected candidate will be responsible for Science Communication and Public Outreach activities related to Italy’s bid to host the Einstein Telescope in Sardinia.
Requirements include:
- Master’s degree in Communication Sciences, History, Philosophy, Physics, or Geological Sciences
- PhD or at least 3 years of proven experience in the fields relevant to the call
This is an important opportunity: the successful candidate will be the first person hired by INGV to work in Sardinia, helping to strengthen and promote the relationship between science and the local community, in collaboration with other research institutions already active on the island, such as INFN, INAF, and the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari.
